How to order a wedding dress from Türkiye without flying in

Türkiye has a long tradition of bridal couture, and more brides from Europe, the Gulf and beyond now choose a gown made here. Many of them never visit. This guide explains how ordering from abroad works at Henna Bride, so you know exactly what to expect before you send the first message.

1. Choose your gown

Start with our collection. Every gown has a code, such as HB-07, which makes it easy to refer to. If nothing is quite right, you can design your own gown in about a minute by choosing the silhouette, neckline, sleeves, fabric and train.

Any gown in the collection can also be tailored into a modest version, with a closed neckline, long sleeves and full lining.

2. Meet us on a video call

Before anything is made, we talk. On a video call we go through the design, the fabric and any changes you have in mind, and we answer your questions about fit and timing. You can book a video consultation and choose a time that suits you; our times are shown in Türkiye time.

3. Send your measurements

Your gown is made to the figures you send us, so this is the most important step. Your advisor sends you our measurement guide. You can measure yourself or ask a tailor to do it; either way, follow the guide carefully and use international standards.

A few practical tips:

• Wear the underwear you plan to wear on the day.
• Measure twice and write the numbers down straight away.
• Use a soft tape measure and keep it level, without pulling it tight.

Because the gown is cut to your numbers, responsibility for the accuracy of the measurements rests with you. If anything is unclear, ask us before you send them.

4. Confirm with a deposit

A 10% deposit by bank transfer confirms your order. Card payments and payment links are not available at the moment. If you visit Türkiye, you can also pay in person at our boutiques in Ankara and İzmit.

5. Production and timing

Timing depends on the gown:

• Gowns in stock are dispatched within about a week, once the shipping fee has reached us.
• Made-to-measure gowns take around two weeks to a month, depending on the work involved.

If your wedding date is close, tell us at the start so we can plan around it.

6. Shipping and customs

We deliver to every country, whether you order a single gown or dresses for your whole bridal party. The shipping fee is calculated for your order and added separately. We choose the most suitable carrier for your destination, and your advisor keeps you updated until the gown arrives.

Please note that all import duties and taxes related to delivery are paid by the customer. Rules differ from country to country, so it is worth checking with your local customs office in advance.

Every fitting takes place in a private room with an all-female team, and we are happy to respect any request for privacy.
